Introducing Organizational (Dis)Entanglements: How Scholarship on Regime Complexity and Power Dynamics Helps Make Sense of International Order-Making, International Studies Review (2025)
China has played a key role in the creation of a range of multilateral institutions and initiatives, from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The project "China's Bid for Hegemony?" aims to provide a comprehensive institutional mapping of China's institutional creation efforts, and to examine what kind of social purpose these institutions serve.
